“Tap er’ Light”: Mike Mansfield’s Gentle Leadership and Political Civility,” highlights U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mansfield’s efforts to build bipartisan support to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and his methods for conveying concerns about the Vietnam War to U.S. presidents. Mansfield represented MT in the U.S. Senate from 1953-'77. The exhibit includes documents and photos from Archives and Special Collections. The exhibit was created by student employees Jacob MacLean and Paige Cohn.
